The 3rd Africa Water Supply and Sanitation Regulators Conference held in Malawi and organized by ESAWAS has provided a significant opportunity for Burundi.

AREEN had the chance to present on the improvement in the water and sanitation regulatory framework, emphasizing better regulation through GIS. This presentation was based on AREEN’s findings from GIS mapping of water and sanitation services in urban areas of Burundi.

Furthermore, AREEN was honored with a certificate in recognition of the reforms it has implemented over the past year.
